{"id":16619,"date":"2020-06-24T10:46:57","date_gmt":"2020-06-24T07:46:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/utu.onedu.fi\/verkkojulkaisut\/?p=16619"},"modified":"2022-02-07T15:49:16","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T13:49:16","slug":"timetable-and-study-circle-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/utu.onedu.fi\/verkkojulkaisut\/2020\/06\/24\/timetable-and-study-circle-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Timetable and Study Circle"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Spring term course 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>Weeks 2\u20136<\/h3>\n<p>Independent study: Watching lecture videos (3 pcs), reading articles<\/p>\n<h3>Week 7<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Welcome to start the course with a <strong>Zoom-meeting<\/strong> on <strong>Tuesday 15 February 2022 from 5.00 to 6.30 p.m.<\/strong> The web address is <a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/utu.zoom.us\/j\/7053757876\">https:\/\/utu.zoom.us\/j\/7053757876<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Contents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>aims of the course<\/li>\n<li>how to study: study circle, essay or moodle-exam<\/li>\n<li>credits and evaluation<\/li>\n<li>organising the group<\/li>\n<li>essay instructions<\/li>\n<li>opportunity for questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Weeks 8\u201313<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Study Circle and\/or independent study<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizing<\/strong> the group in the Moodle or on the first zoom-meeting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Study Circle groups (3\u20135 members)<\/li>\n<li>agreeing on a timetable<\/li>\n<li>choosing part of the literature to study before first meeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>I Study<\/strong> circle after first self-study<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>each participant return the paper (at least 3 A4 papers) to Moodle, they have made to all members<\/li>\n<li>you need to read all the papers \u2013 only this way you are prepared to discuss with others<\/li>\n<li>each participant presents his\/her part of the literature (PowerPoint presentation or 3 A4 papers) in the Study Circle<\/li>\n<li>dialogue of \u201dcommon interest\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>II Study<\/strong> circle after second self-study<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>each participant return the paper (at least 3 A4 papers) to Moodle, they have made to all members<\/li>\n<li>you need to read all the papers \u2013 only this way you are prepared to discuss with others<\/li>\n<li>each participant presents his\/her part of the literature (PowerPoint presentation or 3 A4 papers) in the Study Circle<\/li>\n<li>dialogue of \u201dcommon interest\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026you can continue this (Study Circle III, Study Circle IV) as long and as long time you need\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>V Study Circle<\/strong> &#8211; making mind map<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>making a mind map of all the stuff you have studied with other group members<\/li>\n<li>everyone is writing his\/her part of the mind map you have decided together<\/li>\n<li>you can use for example <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/onedrive\/online-cloud-storage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OneDrive<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Week 14<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Return of the essay<\/strong><\/span> to Moodle by April 8, 2022. This also applies to students who complete the course independently as an essay. Please send evaluation form to teacher after you have returned your essay to Moodle, saija.tanhuanpaa@utu.fi. The form is in Moodle below the essay return link.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Moodle exams:<\/strong><\/span> 9.\u201311.3. and 12.\u201314.5.2022 from 5.30 pm. The Moodle exam is open for two days. Please, register for the Moodle exam no later than 7 days before the exam date, taru.wester@utu.fi.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Summer course 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Return of the essay<\/strong> to Moodle according to your own schedule <strong>by the end of August.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send evaluation form to teacher after you have returned your essay to Moodle, saija.tanhuanpaa@utu.fi.
