Summer course 2021

Re­turn of the es­say to Moo­dle ac­cord­ing to your own sched­ule by the end of Au­gust.

Please send eval­u­a­tion form to teacher af­ter you have re­turned your es­say to Moo­dle, saija.tan­huan­paa@utu.fi. The form is in Moo­dle be­low the es­say re­turn link.

Moo­dle ex­ams: 9.–11.6. OR 15.–17.9.2021 from 5.30 pm. The Moo­dle exam is open for two days. Please, reg­is­ter for the Moo­dle exam no later than 7 days be­fore the exam date, mirja.yliko­rpi@utu.fi.

Weeks 2–3

In­de­pen­dent study: Watch­ing lec­ture videos (3 pcs).

Weeks 4–11

Study Cir­cle and/or in­de­pen­dent study

Or­ga­niz­ing the group in the Moo­dle or on the first zoom-meet­ing.

• Study Cir­cle groups (3–5 mem­bers)
• agree­ing on a timetable
• choos­ing part of the lit­er­a­ture to study be­fore first meet­ing

I Study cir­cle af­ter first self-study

• each par­tic­i­pant re­turn the pa­per (at least 3 A4 pa­pers) to Moo­dle, they have made to all mem­bers
• you need to read all the pa­pers – only this way you are pre­pared to dis­cuss with oth­ers
• each par­tic­i­pant presents his/her part of the lit­er­a­ture (Pow­er­Point pre­sen­ta­tion or 3 A4 pa­pers) in the Study Cir­cle
• di­a­logue of ”com­mon in­ter­est”

II Study cir­cle af­ter sec­ond self-study

• each par­tic­i­pant re­turn the pa­per (at least 3 A4 pa­pers) to Moo­dle, they have made to all mem­bers
• you need to read all the pa­pers – only this way you are pre­pared to dis­cuss with oth­ers
• each par­tic­i­pant presents his/her part of the lit­er­a­ture (Pow­er­Point pre­sen­ta­tion or 3 A4 pa­pers) in the Study Cir­cle
• di­a­logue of ”com­mon in­ter­est”

…you can con­tinue this (Study Cir­cle III, Study Cir­cle IV) as long and as long time you need…

V Study Cir­cle – mak­ing mind map

• mak­ing a mind map of all the stuff you have stud­ied with other group mem­bers
• ev­ery­one is writ­ing his/her part of the mind map you have de­cided to­gether
• you can use for ex­am­ple OneDrive

Week 12

Sec­ond Zoom-meet­ing, es­say pre­sen­ta­tion, guid­ing and dis­cus­sion with the teacher Tues­day 23, March, 2021 from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm, https://utu.zoom.us/j/7053757876.

Re­turn of the es­say to Moo­dle by March 31,  2021. This also ap­plies to stu­dents who com­plete the course in­de­pen­dently as an es­say. Please send eval­u­a­tion form to teacher af­ter you have re­turned your es­say to Moo­dle, saija.tan­huan­paa@utu.fi. The form has been sent by email and can also be found in Moo­dle be­low the es­say re­turn link.
